MAKING AN IMPACT

NEXUS Cup has a history of empowering youth to learn, grow and prepare for their futures as all proceeds from the event benefit TGR Foundation. Thanks to the NEXUS Cup participants for supporting the event and driving meaningful impact in the lives of youth.

Founded in 1996 by Tiger Woods, TGR Foundation believes everyone can be a champion for youth. With a commitment to a world where opportunity is universal and potential is limitless, TGR Foundation’s mission is to empower students to pursue their passions through education. Its signature programs serve youth from under-resourced communities, providing access to STEAM educational enrichment, career and college readiness, health and well-being programs.

“When I was a kid, my parents instilled a core principle in my life: try to make an impact in one person’s life, every day. At TGR Foundation, we are doing just that, making a meaningful impact on the lives of youth one day at a time.”

– Tiger Woods, Founder TGR Foundation

Anaheim

TGR Learning Lab

Built from Tigers’ vision to create a safe space for youth to “learn, grow and chase after their dreams,” the flagship TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, CA has supported youth from Southern California for more than 18 years.

School day programming introduces elementary students to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, and math) subjects and relevant careers. Middle and high school students benefit from after-school classes and opportunities that enhance their education while exploring careers in STEAM and beyond. College access and career readiness programs prepare high school and college students for higher education and the workforce.

TGR Foundation is expanding its impact with new Learning Lab facilities in Philadelphia, PA in 2025 and Los Angeles, CA in 2026.

Champions for Youth

TGR Foundation has supported more than 190,000 students through the flagship TGR Learning Lab and its award-winning Earl Woods Scholar Program, which provides college-bound students the holistic support needed to thrive throughout their journey to graduation.

Among the students impacted by TGR Foundation are Natan Santos and Ariana Perez.

Natan is an Earl Woods Scholar Alumnus whose passions for fashion, business and social impact motivated him from an early age. With support from the Earl Woods Scholar Program, Natan built transferrable skills and gained support to navigate his journey as a first-generation college student. As the son of immigrants, his parent’s sacrifices and work ethic motivated him to pursue his dreams of working for Converse with diligence.

From building his first clothing line at 14 to creating opportunities to highlight creatives and give back, Natan has a history of uplifting his community while striving for his own successes. After overcoming countless obstacles and more than 50 requests to Converse contacts, he secured an internship at his dream company and graduated from Dartmouth University with an offer to join the company in the North America Entertainment, Culture and Influencer Marketing Department. After three years at Converse and dream fulfilled, Natan recently accepted a position at Pizza Hut where he’ll use his skills and expertise as a global marketing manager. When reflecting on his journey he credits TGR Foundation for “taking a chance on a kid from Boston and making him believe he could do anything.”

Ariana was a TGR Learning Lab Anaheim member from 5th grade through her recent high school graduation. At the Learning Lab, she utilized the programs offered including STEM classes, academic support, college preparation and golf to discover her passion for golf and cyber security and nurture those interests with a plan for her future.

Through the Learning Lab, she has gained the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to follow her passions on and off the golf course. In 2022 she was invited to participate in the inaugural TGR JR Invitational presented by TaylorMade and served as the first tee starter during the 2023 Genesis Invitational final round. She’s currently a rising freshman at the University of California Irvine working toward her career in cybersecurity law.

Inspired by Tiger’s legacy on and off the golf course, TGR Foundation believes everyone can be a champion. Join us to empower more students to pursue their passions through education.
