Four in a row at the NEXUS Cup

Set against the iconic backdrop of the New York City skyline, the 2025 NEXUS Cup returned to Liberty National Golf Club for two days of elevated amateur golf competition. Eighteen teams competed in a team match play format that blended high-level golf with premium experiences on and off the course, all in support of TGR Foundation

After 36 holes and a dramatic final shootout with guests overlooking the 18th green, For Peat’s Sake claimed the 2025 NEXUS Cup title, a fourth consecutive victory for the team. Their path to victory needed an extra round in the championship shootout and a putt-off to decide the championship.

Now in its sixth year, NEXUS Cup continues to raise the bar for what an amateur golf event can be. From the moment guests arrived, they were immersed in a luxury experience. Custom gifting featured exclusive items from Sun Day Red and a TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver, all tailored to reflect the premium standard of the event.

The immersive experience continued Monday on-course with PGA TOUR pros Ben Griffin and Nick Dunlap making appearances to support teams during their rounds. Stationed on designated par 3s, each pro stepped in to hit a shot for the amateur teams competing, adding both a competitive edge and a memorable personal touch.

After a full day of golf, the evening shifted to Manhattan for a night at NEXUS Club New York. Guests gathered for an evening of entertainment and connection, beginning with a moderated Q&A led by Michael Strahan featuring Tiger Woods, Griffin, and Will Zalatoris. The energy ramped up as the room split into teams for a spirited round of $100,000 Pyramid, where Woods and Steph Curry took on Griffin and Zalatoris in a lighthearted yet competitive showdown, delivering big laughs and even bigger bragging rights.

The energy for day two kicked off with an interactive Q&A session on the driving range hosted by Woods and Zalatoris, sharing swing tips and stories in an intimate setting that underscored the event’s unique access to the game’s elite. The on-course excitement followed, as Taylor Pendrith and Zalatoris returned for the final round, stepping in to assist teams with key shots and share their insights in real-time, adding a hands-on element that elevated the final stretch of competition.

“Every aspect of it was incredible. The pros were so nice to everybody; they were open, they were gracious, they gave their time. You’d be crazy if you didn’t do this tournament, it’s awesome” said a member of the championship team.
